If we know how to eat right and that we need to exercise more, why then, do we not do it? Part of the problem is that our minds get stuck on old and familiar methods of coping. If you use food as a way to feel better, to calm you down, deal with stress, anger, boredom, loneliness or as a way to feel safer then you don’t have an ideal relationship with food.
Our Ideal Weight for Life program can help you change your relationship with food. Like other habits, emotional eating is regulated by the subconscious mind and can be managed. You can change your eating habits because unhelpful eating patterns have become something you have learned to do and so can be unlearnt.
We use a range of therapies, including clinical hypnosis, to help you unlearn these habits and achieve a better relationship with food. We communicate directly with your subconscious mind to identify and put a halt to any self-sabotage and to install the habits of a healthier lifestyle. We’ll help you to access the ‘reward’ centre of your brain in healthier ways. We’ll help you reach your ideal weight and resolve the emotional issues around food that you are experiencing.
We’ll teach you to learn how to have a better relationship with food and make friends with your body. Food is the symptom and not the cause of weight issues.

Program: Managing Chronic Pain
Is pain having a negative impact on your life? Are you looking for a way to manage its debilitating symptoms? Managing Chronic Pain is a program designed to retrain your mind in how pain is perceived so as to provide you with relief.
It’s not just pain that needs to be managed, it’s coping with everything else that comes with it, including:
- The anticipation of pain
- The anxiety around how long it will last
- The focused state of discomfort during the pain sensation
- Exhaustion
- Impact on others
- The rumination after the pain has passed.
These experiences that accompany the actual pain itself may even exacerbate your physical symptoms.
If you are experiencing pain, it is important to see a medical professional and follow their advice as they may be able to help alleviate the physical symptoms. But what about the fear of pain and the other associated effects? How do you overcome them?
The good news is that hypnosis, mindfulness and deep relaxation can all be very helpful in pain management. Learning how to relax and stop anticipating pain can increase comfort and ease, and it can make the symptoms of pain easier to manage in general.
We use a range of therapies, including clinical hypnosis and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), to enable you to gain a sense of control over how your brain perceives pain.
Hypnosis is a safe, drug-free method that has been shown to reduce the intensity, disabling effect and catastrophising of pain. It helps the brain calm the noise of pain, providing you with much-needed respite. One of the problems with chronic pain management is that the brain becomes used to pain-killing drugs, and you then require higher and higher doses to manage it. Hypnosis works in a different way by enabling the brain to stop responding to pain signals.
MBSR is a meditation therapy that brings your awareness into the present moment. Originally, MBSR was created to help people with chronic illnesses learn how to relate to pain differently, and thus decrease their stress and suffering. It has since been adapted for people who deal with stress of any kind—be it anxiety, relationship struggles or emotional pain.
